Care with a personal, small-town feel

Hey all, I am Tabitha and I was born and raised in Montgomery, TX. I started with Fish Creek Animal Hospital shortly after they opened! I have been working in the vet field for 10+ years and couldn’t imagine doing anything else! When not at work I enjoy spending time with my kids and 4 mini schnauzers.

Wife of Dr. Kevin Wheeler, Erin has been involved with Fish Creek Animal Hospital since its start, assisting with marketing, finances, community outreach, staff support, and more. She has a background in neurologic physical therapy, but has recently transitioned to a larger role here at Fish Creek to better support her family as well as the hospital. She and Kevin both love sharing the world of veterinary medicine with their sons, Tripp and James.

Hi, I’m Amber! I’m a passionate animal advocate dedicated to making every animal feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I have hands-on experience working with rescues, caring for horses, and running my own dog boarding business. My husband and I spoil our fur kids; we spent four years traveling the country by RV with our six rescue dogs, from Florida to Utah. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me in a yoga studio, enjoying live music, or out in nature.

Hi! My name is Danielle and I have been part of Fish Creek Animal Hospital since April 2024. I love being able to work with cats and dogs here as a Vet tech! In my free time, I’m usually outside with a book or cuddling with my 6 year old daughter Riley and my cat Tibby.

My name is Heather Marie Blackburn, I have been in the veterinary field as a Veterinary Technician for over 20 years. I worked at large, small, and exotic practices. I also spent several years working at a cat-only practice here in the Houston area. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. I moved to Lafayette, LA shortly after graduating and worked for National Marine Fisheries for a few years, before returning to be a vet tech. I moved back to Texas a few years ago, after starting a new life with one of my classmates from Port Isabel High School, Arthur Cochrum III. We share our home with AC and our 5 pets! We spend our spare time watching AC play football and our Aggies on Saturday! We plan on getting our own piece of the Texas Coast one day, so we can play on the beach and fish every day!

Hey y’all, My name is Hunter, I started at Fish Creek in February 2023, before starting here I shadowed and worked as a kennel technician for two years. I’m currently working towards getting my Veterinary Technician License, and plan to dig deeper into Veterinary Medicine in the future. During high school, I was an active member in FFA and was continuously raising animals. In my spare time, I love to spend time at the beach with my boyfriend and our two dogs Bandit and Bella!

With over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine, I am passionate about providing compassionate, knowledgeable care to every patient I meet. My professional journey has been shaped not only by my work in the field, but also by my personal love for animals of all kinds, especially exotics. At home, I care for a diverse group of pets, including dogs, cats, reptiles, an iguana, and an 18-year-old tarantula.

I live with my husband and son, and much of my life revolves around both family and animals. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, camping, and biking, activities that keep me connected to nature and the outdoors.

Hey y’all, my name is Kristin and I’m one of the techs here at Fish Creek Animal Hospital! I’ve been here since 2023, but I have been in the field since 2013. I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2018 where I majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Sociology – but working with animals is where my passion really lies. In my free time, you can usually find me hanging out with friends, reading, or watching true crime shows with my Shih Tzu Sadie.

Hi yall! My name is Lynsie. Vet med is my calling and I’ve been in the field for about 13 years. I have really enjoyed my time here at Fish Creek Animal Hospital. In my free time I love to paint and hang out with my daughter. I have 2 precious kitties, Cheyenne, and Goldfish, and 1 handsome American Bulldog, Tank. I look forward to meeting you and your pets at our clinic!

Hi! My name is Tayler. I was born & raised in the small town of Hollister, Ca. I got my bachelors degree in Biology at Chico State. I started volunteering at a local animal clinic during college & then moved my way up to vet technician. I moved to Texas in the summer of 2018. I graduated from the LSC Tomball Veterinary Technology program in Spring of 2022. I passed my VTNE in Dec 2022 and officially became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I am also fear-free certified. I’ve been in the veterinary field for about 5 1/2 years now. I can’t imagine being in any other field. I do like dogs but I am a cat lover at heart. In my free time, I like spending time at home with my husband Dyson & our son Walker. We have two dogs, a cat, & a turtle.
